  • Objectives

    1. Recognize the importance of measurement activity within the global context of the activities of the
    construction process.
    2. Identify the fundamental parts for measurement activity.
    3. Identify the
    different methods for the selection and efficient use of construction equipment.
    4. Analyze and
    perform the measurement of the different components related to the design of buildings and
    civil Engineering.
    5. Understand and clearly identify the direct and indirect costs incurred on the
    construction projects.
    6. Understand the procedures for the preparation of measurement reports.

    The contents of the curricular unit are structured according to its objectives, where the student must autonomously know how to execute the Measurements and Budgets of Engineering and Civil Construction Projects

    The classes are theoretical and practical and taught in face-to-face and distance learning, developing with a strong connection to their practical application, with a special emphasis in the physical meaning of the phenomena under study, without complex mathematical formalism.

    measurement rules. Construction costs and prices. Information on construction costs. Estimatesfrom the point of view of the developer. Budgeting from the perspective of the developer. Budgeting from the perspective
    of the contractor. Direct costs, indirect costs and profits / contingencies. Equipment costs. Methods
    depreciation of equipment. Equipment financing. Manufacturing costs and sales prices
    construction work.
    3. Billing and payments. Payment arrangements. Plan of Payments and Financial Schedule. Work certification. Measurement records. Variations of
    works. Retentions. Price reviews.
