    The master's degree in Biological and Chemical Engineering aims to train professionals for a career in industry, which requires solid knowledge of chemical and biotechnological processes, as well as the ability to develop and implement new solutions and technologies. The course essentially aims to - Train for active and valuable intervention in the biotechnology or chemical industry; - Provide general training in both areas, ensured by a common core across the entire curriculum; - Train professionals with the ability to develop innovative technical solutions to a wide range of problems in different contexts of chemistry, biotechnology and interface areas.

    The Master's Degree in Biological and Chemical Engineering allows you to develop fundamental skills that contribute to:

  • Admission and entry requirements

    The following may apply to the Master's Degree in Biological and Chemical Engineering: • Holders of a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Biological Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biotechnology or equivalent; • Holders of an equivalent foreign higher academic degree, conferred following a 1st cycle of studies organized according to the principles of the Bologna Process by a State adhering to this Process; • Holders of an equivalent foreign higher academic degree that is recognized as meeting the objectives of the bachelor's degree by the Scientific Technical Council of ESTBarreiro/IPS; • Holders of an academic, scientific or professional curriculum, which is recognized as attesting the ability to carry out this cycle of studies by the Scientific Technical Council of ESTBarreiro/IPS.
